E-Resources for Children
Tumblebooks: TumbleBooks (animated, talking picture books) are created from existing picture books which we have licensed from children's book publishers and converted to the TumbleBook format.
TumbleReadables: is an online collection of read-along titles for elementary, middle school, and high school students which features adjustable online text and complete audio narration.
TumbleTalkingBooks: allows you to listen to or download your favorite audio books with just a click of a button. Listen online, bookmark your spot, or download the book and access your books offline at your convenience. You can download the books to any PC/MAC laptop, notebook, desktop, and to Android tablets.
World Book Student: A general resource for adults and students, which includes more than 26,000 articles including state of the art multimedia, editor-reviewed web sites, periodical content and more, as well as over 12,000 pictures and maps.
World Book Kids: Offers simple navigation, easy to read articles, thousands of colourful illustrations, diagrams, and maps as well as engaging activities and teacher resources..
World Book Spanish: A general resource in Spanish for adults and students, which includes thousands of articles, pictures and maps.
NoveList K-8 (EBSCO): With this readers’ advisory tool, students and teachers can access over 60,000 fiction titles aimed at the K-8 audience, complete with full text reviews. It also offers hundreds of reading lists, book talks, award lists, and teachers’ resources.
